Beldibi

Located at the 26th kilometer of the road connecting Antalya to Kemer, Beldibi lies between the mountainous Lycian Region and the Pamphylian Plain. Excavations carried out between 1950 and 1960 revealed cave shelters, inscriptions, and paintings. At the entrance of Beldibi, on the slopes of the mountain where the Akyarlar Tunnel passes through and faces the sea, there are inscriptions from the Paleolithic Age, including goat and house figures. A stream originating from the peaks of the Beydağları Mountains meets the Mediterranean in Beldibi. Further inland, in the forested areas, there are also sarcophagi dating back to the Paleolithic Age.

Previously a neighborhood connected to Kemer, which was then a district center, Beldibi was granted village status on October 15, 1971. It became a town with municipal status on November 16, 1992. However, with the law numbered 6360, passed by the Turkish Grand National Assembly on November 12, 2012, it was reclassified as a neighborhood.
