Kumluca Transfer
The first settlement of Kumluca was established in the 1830s under the name Sarı Kavak, about 5 km east of the district center, at the foot of the hills. Finike, which separated from Elmalı, and Iğdırmağardıç Bucağı, which was connected to Antalya, split into two parts: Kemer was connected to Antalya, and Kumluca to Finike. At that time, Sarıkavak was a neighborhood of Iğdırmağardıç Bucağı. Today's Kuzca Village was a separate sub-district at that time. In 1924, the center of Kuzca Bucağı was moved to Gödene (Altınyaka), and over time, the current district center of Kumluca, where nomadic people settled, grew into a crowded center. The Kumluca sub-district later expanded, and in 1958, it was separated from Finike and became a district with Law No. 7033.
